While recognition and awards are not what drive the team at Haslop & Mason, it is always good to receive acknowledgement for excellence in one’s core business. This year, 2022, has seen us scoop a number of awards of which we’re justifiably proud.

Haslop & Mason received an award from Brady ID Solutions for outstanding performance in promoting and selling their products. Brady ID Solutions is a company geared specifically towards machine and personnel safety and identification solutions.

Kevin Dersley, managing member of Haslop & Mason, had this to say about Brady: “The Brady product range focuses on product identification, RFID, specialised labelling, floor and pipe marking, and lock-out tag-out safety.

“The quality of their products sets them apart from competitors and their local representation provides direct end-user support.”

Tamarin van der Berg, Eastern Cape Territory manager for Brady remarked, “Brady products are designed and specified for a wide range of industry types. Haslop & Mason is a partner in our business model who understands the needs of each business type and manages to match our products successfully with each customer’s needs. That’s a winning formula.”

In response, Dewald le Roux, Haslop & Mason Business Manager, said, “Haslop & Mason always choose suppliers who can assist us in developing relationships with our customers.

“We need product quality and reliability, professional and ethical business practices and an understanding of how we can satisfy the needs of our customers. Brady is a partner that we are proud to represent.” A win-win relationship, in fact.

In addition, Haslop & Mason won a runner-up award from SMC for securing the second highest number of orders in the region, which includes KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape.

Globally, SMC is the largest manufacturing and supply company of pneumatic control devices that use compressed air as a power source for automation. They set themselves apart by having both a local and national presence of sales engineers and high product availability. This is part of their commitment to support industrial automation.

As leader of an award-winning team, Kevin Dersley was asked how he and his team remain motivated. His response: “Recognition by our supply partners is obviously important for our team. We work hard to meet the needs of our customers while simultaneously operating within our strategy of ‘Best in Business’.

“The awards we received this year are an indication that our efforts have been seen and recognised and that our policy is effective. Whatever they say, everyone likes to be a winner.”
