Looking back at 2023, Haslop & Mason has experienced quite a bit of positive change, which bodes well for the year ahead.
Managing member Kevin Dersley is excited about opening new avenues for the company and for customers as H&M invests in exciting new areas of business with new customer types and products.
“A highlight this year was attending the April 2023 Rockwell Automation Partner Network conference in Barcelona. Here all of the Rockwell Automation distributors from Europe, the Middle East and Africa get together to discuss, compare and learn about new industry norms, new product technologies and best practices from fellow distributors.
Dersley said these learnings were brought back and ploughed into the services Haslop & Mason offered its valued and expanding network of customers.
“The way we managed and quoted our customers in the past has changed,” says Dersley. “Previously, the account manager managed the customer alone. Now, we have a team that manages the quotations, the preparation of the orders, and the marketing material.
“This way, the account managers get to spend less time on the admin and more time building a closer relationship with our customers. They gain an understanding of their customers’ businesses, so that we can do more for them and with them in terms of technical support.”
Dersley said a new account manager had been brought on board to focus on original equipment manufacturers and system integrators.
“Specifically, we have appointed a new account manager to focus on OEMs and SIs. These industry types supply equipment for manufacturing processes, which are shipped throughout the country and the world.
“Previously, our core business was the end user, the manufacturing plants. Now we are expanding ourselves more aggressively directly to the OEMs and SIs.”
Dersley said 2024 would be a year which would bring even more digital processes into manufacturing, adding: “We are aligning ourselves with this to introduce more digital processes into Haslop & Mason to benefit our customers and position them well for their supply chain management.”
